AMBER DAWN

Amber Dawn is fair and golden,
The oldest of the princesses.
Crystal blue her eyes did sparkle,
Swirling flecks of gray.

Though Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Along traditional lines you flow.
You stole my heart and never looked back,
Though the aching of my heart.

So now engaged in love's deep pool,
A child you are no more.
Through laughter, grief and bitter tears,
We lash against the rules;
Never taunting each other with the harsh silly tales,
Our temperments entwine ever after.

So fly away home, little butterfly mine,
Show me how you will live.
Give life to the breath of the next light's glow,
And overfill my heart evermore.
