One-Minute Writer - Imitation

Today's One-Minute Writing Prompt: Imitation

It's said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Who would you like to imitate, and in what way?

Although I consider myself an original, there are several authors with which I identify. I wish I could imitate the writing success of Neil Gaiman, Laurell K. Hamilton, Brandon Mull or Patricia Cornwell - just to name a few.

Patricia Cornwell used to live in my city. She may still...I'm not sure about that.

You are an original.

I love Patricia Cornwell's work, too.

I'm finally getting back on blogging and because the dial-up is slow, I'm commenting on lots of things here... I love your idea of checking out books at Amazon before getting them in the library -- so smart when libraries have such tight budgets.

And I loved your clown piece -- I don't much like clowns, either. Never have. Not scary, they just bother me... Ick! So, I can relate.

And your writing about Jade, as well as the post about your sister and the tempered glass poem -- all lovely.

Hope you are well. Spring is beginning to hit here, and I'm sure it's a bit more along where you are! Enjoy!
